2023 Neighborhood Energy Blitz
Join the Climate Action & Outreach Division and the Green Iowa AmeriCorps team in distributing Energy Saving kits to households in the Creekside neighborhood. Volunteers will meet at Chadek Green Park and serve in teams that will cover walking routes of approximately two miles. Morning volunteers will distribute the kits while the afternoon volunteers will return to the households and pick up kit boxes containing used light bulbs and batteries for safe disposal and recycling.
- Saturday, April 22
- Morning shift will run 9-Noon
- Afternoon shift will run 2-5 p.m.
- Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one or both shifts here.
Helpers of all ages and abilities are welcome! Youth younger than 14 years old should be accompanied by an adult. A virtual training for all volunteers will be held a week before the event.
