Who We Are
Through shelter and housing, advocacy and supportive services, our mission is to prevent and end homelessness in our community.
What We Do
Shelter House supports individuals at risk of, currently experiencing, or exiting homelessness in Johnson and Washington Counties through a continuum of services: Emergency Shelter, Winter Shelter, Rapid Rehousing, Eviction Prevention, Permanent Supportive Housing, and supported employment. Our programs are broad in scope and offer aid for individuals facing a variety of impossibly difficult circumstances, often including substance use disorders, and a range of one or multiple mental, physical, and behavioral health conditions.
