The Coralville Asian Festival was started by four local women who shared a vision: to create a welcoming and safe space where neighbors could come together, connect and celebrate. Their goal was to honor the contributions of our Asian community and highlight the cultural richness it brings to Coralville and Johnson County. Representation matters –and in Coralville, one of the most diverse cities in Iowa, Asian Americans making up 9.4% of our community, nearly 2,120 residents.
This Coralville Asian Festival celebrates and shares the richness of Asian cultures through education, art, and community engagement. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for connection, understanding, and appreciation by showcasing diverse traditions and talents. By fostering equity, openness, and cross-cultural exchange, we aim to strengthen community bonds, celebrate diversity, and build a more inclusive and supportive Coralville and Johnson County.
