Volunteer: Family Interpreter

Interpreters will assist families and other Ready Set School volunteers by providing language interpretation throughout the event. Volunteers will help families communicate with staff, understand event instructions, and access available services such as school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, vaccinations, and health screenings. Interpreters will also help answer questions and ensure families feel welcomed and supported as they move through the event.

Volunteers will also help restock and straighten backpacks and school supply tables as needed.

38 students will be arriving in shifts with their families every 15 minutes.

Notes

The first 15 minutes of volunteer shifts will be utilized for training and understanding the flow of the event.  The last shift scheduled on Friday (4:45pm - 7:30pm) will be assisting with restocking and preparing for Saturday after the event close. The last shift scheduled on Saturday (1:45pm - 4:00pm) will be assisting with teardown and cleanup after the event  close

This volunteer opportunity will help welcome families arriving to receive school supplies.  Volunteers will ensure families are arriving for their registered date/time and will provide information regarding event logistics and available resources.
